Autechre – LP5 (2xLP)

The British electronica band's long player was originally released by Warp on July 13, 1998. Actually, the album has no title, but was named so by the British electro label, as it is the fifth of the duo, consisting of Rob Brown and Sean Booth.

The original "LP5" features a total of eleven songs and an untitled hidden track at the end of the album. It showed Autechre abandoning the full, warm sound of earlier albums like "Amber" in favor of a more finely tuned, technical style that was foreshadowed on its 1997 predecessor "Chiastic Slide" and the "Cichlisuite EP" from the same year.
