When "Hotel California" was published by the Eagles in December 1976, it immediately became a worldwide success and a phenomenon both commercially and critically. The album stayed #1 in the US Billboard charts for eight weeks, won two Grammy® Awards and sold more than 32 million copies worldwide! With "Hotel California" and "New Kid In Town" it also contained two Billboard #1 hits and 40 years later it is still one of the best-selling albums of all time.
