Following the success of Hiroshi Sato's re-release, Wewantsounds is proud to be able to release Akiko Yano's albums outside of Japan. Following her 1981 synth-pop masterpiece "Tadaima" with YMO, co-produced by Ryuichi Sakamoto, the French label is now releasing "Japanese Girl" from 1976.
She is supported by Little Feat with Lowell George and the crème de la crème of Japanese musicians, including Haruomi Hosono. With its mixture of pop, rock and Japanese folklore in combination with Little Feat's classic sound, the album is one of the most important Japanese albums of the 70s.
