Malek's music shifts effortlessly between thematic jazz, funk, reggae and Algerian folklore - creating indelible soundscapes that intersect with the musical innovations of African jazz by Mulatu Astatke, Bembeya Jazz National and some of Europe's finest experimental composers such as Piero Piccioni and Janko Nilovic.
